The MX-20 is a high-throughput planar radiography system that allows
researchers to monitor animals quickly and affordably. This digital
system can scan two to three animals at a time, depending on their
size, and scans typically last 12 to 15 seconds.
KV and exposure time settings can be easily changed using the computer
screen or push buttons on the front of the unit. The MX-20 has
geometric magnification capabilities up to 5X to provide ultra-high
resolution images of small animals and specimens. The MX-20 has an
energy range of 10-35KV and a tube current of 300uA.
The focal spot size is <20um and the E561673 X-ray beam angle is 40
degrees. System resolution is up to 50 lp/mm (10 lp/mm in contact
mode).
For a wide range of imaging requirements at 35kV.
Used under GMP conditions, the device has not been in service since
June 2022.
